Where else would you find a merry mackerel
meandering across a dragon’s spine,
twisted and stretched in the infinite blue?
Or visit a pony,
that prances in a Phoenix flame?
What manner of grizzly shares its den,
with a doting dove, peacefully drifting
to a cave of candy floss?
This layered scape of pastel hues,
gently kissing today with a fond goodbye,
then slipping to bed in a blanket of dusk.
Tomorrow’s expectant menagerie will wait.
Then we will sit again,
and watch this ballad of blues,
this waltz of the skies.
